  • unions in canada should support the Garment Workers in Bangladesh. This is an important fight. These workers need a union so that they can get higher wages and better working conditions.
  • In my roles as President of PIPSC, I promoted the awareness of this travesty and others currently happening in Bankladesh with respect to Labour Conditions that are reminiscent of those that took place in my Cape Breton Home in the 1920’s.

While my influence may be waining because I will no longer be President in January, I will do what I can to continue to advance labour rights for those who need them for protection of their health, safety and financial security.

    Thank you Kalpona.

    And Thank you for this

  • The garment workers in Pakistan need to be assured they work in safe conditions and I wholeheartedly support that.
  • An injury to one is an injury to all. We are all expendable when Corporations hold the power. Time to fight back for all.

Workers around the world do care. It’s time to act.
