Conservatives are on the offensive again…

I learned that the Conservatives want to make changes to the procedures of the Senate in order to fast track the adoption of Bill C-377 and C-525.

The person who is doing the dirty work is the controversial conservative Senator Jean-Guy Dagenais.

Bill C-377 from Conservative MP Russ Hiebert, aims to force labour organizations to disclose a significant amount of financial and sensitive information. This bill does not mention that unions are democratic organizations and already disclose their financial statements to members who request it.

Blaine Calkins has tabled Bill C-525 aims to restrict the ability of workers to organize and to establish a Trade Union.

Can’t wait for 2015!

The constant attacks on Labour by this Conservative Government are outrageous, I really can’t begin to understand what the Harper agenda is other than to bust Unions up altogether.
